Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where did the process of creating the Persian Copper art originate?

A: The process, developed at my srt Studio after years of working with copper and patinas for Persian calligraphy inspired by the poetry slogans used by green movement of the current uprising of Iranian people.
There are many artists all over the world working with copper, but so far as I know, no one is doing it quite like what I have been doing.

Q: Do the artworks continue to change over time due to the oxidation process?

A: Not now,  previously I used to check woth my clients and reapplied a special kind of varnishes to seale and arrests the oxidation process that protects the artwork.

Q: Do you take responsibility of technical support in future?

A: Yes we take care of changes happening due to chemical reactions for a year. But we don’t take responsibility of other physical accidents what so ever. .

Q: Are the artworks available framed? What do the edges look like?

A: Yes most of the artworks have edges that are beautifully finished, and ready to hang.. You may want to frame the art to match furniture, etc. but you will probably feel that it's not necessary. But however I have the option of providing the artwork without  a frame too.

Q: How is the art made?

A: The processes I use is a uniquely developed method, experienced over years of practice. Depending on the project I first prepare the original drawing, the composition and the medium to be applied on copper sheets. I use several techniques such as painting, patina, temperature and embossing depending on the projects.

Q: What's it going to look like in my home or office?

A: The bright copper areas of the art are reflective, and the oxidized (green, blue, brown) areas are matte. As such, the changing light conditions through the day, and changing vantage point as you walk by the art, create a never ending parade of different moods and personalities in the artwork.

Q: Do you make custom pieces to order?

A: Yes, I do commissioned artworks. I have worked with many individuals and designers to create pieces with a particular subject, or look, and to fit a particular space. Just call or write for details.
